Welcome to Rancho Khepri. These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of our website at ranchokhepri.com (the “Site”) and your booking of and participation in our experiences, tours, lessons, dining, and events (together, the “Experiences”). By using the Site or booking an Experience, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About us & our Experiences

Rancho Khepri (“Rancho Khepri,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a horse ranch and experiential-tourism operation located at 37814 Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico, approximately 25 minutes from San Miguel de Allende. Our Experiences include guided countryside trail rides, equine-wellness (“Horse Love Therapy”) sessions, the Horseshoe Bar dining experience, private riding lessons, private events and venue rental, and optional add-on experiences. Experience descriptions, durations, inclusions, and prices are set out on the Site and may change from time to time.

2. Bookings & confirmation

Online reservations are made through FareHarbor, our third-party booking platform. When you book, you select an available date and time and provide the requested details. A booking is confirmed only when you receive confirmation through the FareHarbor system. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for reviewing your confirmation to ensure the date, time, experience, and party size are correct.

Availability is limited and subject to weather, animal welfare, and operational factors. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking where necessary (see Cancellations, changes & refunds).

3. Pricing & payment

Prices for Experiences are shown on the Site and at checkout and, unless stated otherwise, are quoted in Mexican Pesos (MXN). Prices may be updated at any time, but the price confirmed at the time of your booking applies to that booking. Payment is processed at the time of booking through FareHarbor and its payment processors. Rancho Khepri does not collect or store your full payment card details; payment handling is subject to FareHarbor’s terms and privacy policy. Any applicable taxes or fees will be shown before you complete your booking.

4. Cancellations, changes & refunds

Refunds, where due, are issued to the original payment method through FareHarbor and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider. To cancel or reschedule, please use the link in your FareHarbor confirmation or contact us at tours@ranchokhepri.com as early as possible.

Late arrivals. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time. Because our Experiences run on a set schedule and involve the care and readiness of our horses, guests who arrive late may not be able to join and may be treated as a no-show, without a refund.

Cancellations by Rancho Khepri. Safety is our priority. We may cancel or reschedule an Experience due to weather, unsafe conditions, animal welfare, insufficient participants, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel an Experience and you have not caused the cancellation, we will offer you a reschedule or a full refund of the amount you paid for that Experience. Except as required by law, this is our only responsibility to you in the event of such a cancellation.

5. Private events

Private events, weddings, corporate functions, and venue rentals are arranged individually and may be subject to a separate written agreement, quotation, deposit, and cancellation terms that differ from the standard policy above. Where a separate event agreement applies, its terms will govern that event. Deposits for private events may be non-refundable. 6. Participation requirements & safety

Horseback riding and ranch activities require reasonable physical ability and carry inherent risks. To participate, you agree that:

• Riders must meet the minimum age for the Experience (generally 7 years and older for trail rides); minors must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf.
• You will truthfully disclose any medical condition, injury, pregnancy, allergy, or physical limitation that could affect your safe participation, and you confirm you are physically fit to take part.
• You will follow all instructions, safety briefings, and directions given by our guides and staff, and wear any safety equipment and suitable clothing and footwear provided or recommended.
• We may set weight limits or other reasonable restrictions for the welfare of our horses and the safety of guests.
• We reserve the right to refuse or stop participation, without refund, for anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, behaves unsafely, or does not meet participation requirements.

7. Assumption of risk & release

You understand and acknowledge that horseback riding, interaction with horses and other animals, and ranch and outdoor activities are inherently dangerous and may result in serious injury, illness, or, in rare cases, death, as well as damage to property. Horses can be unpredictable and may react to sounds, movements, weather, or other animals in ways that cannot be foreseen or controlled. You voluntarily choose to participate with full knowledge of these risks and assume all such risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless Rancho Khepri, its owner, staff, guides, and partners from claims for injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct or where such release is not permitted by law.

8. Conduct & animal welfare

The welfare of our horses and animals comes first. You agree to treat our animals, staff, other guests, property, and the natural surroundings with respect, and to follow all ranch rules. We may end an Experience without refund if your conduct threatens the safety or welfare of any person or animal.

9. Transportation

Transportation from San Miguel de Allende may be offered depending on group size and availability and may be arranged with third-party providers. Where transportation is provided by a third party, that provider’s terms apply to that service, and we are not responsible for delays, acts, or omissions of independent transportation providers beyond our reasonable control.

10. Photography & media

We may take photographs or video during Experiences and events for our records and promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in promotional material, please let a staff member know before your Experience and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. Any photographs or media you take should respect the privacy of other guests and staff.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, images, logos, the “Rancho Khepri” name, graphics, and design — is owned by or licensed to Rancho Khepri and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

12. Third-party services

The Site relies on and links to third-party services, including FareHarbor for bookings and payments, and may link to social-media and partner websites. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third-party services, and their inclusion does not imply our endorsement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rancho Khepri and its owner, staff, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of enjoyment, arising out of or relating to the Site, your booking, or your participation in an Experience. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant Experience.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rancho Khepri and its owner, staff, guides, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party in connection with your participation.

15. Force majeure

We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, government action, civil disturbance, strikes, utility or infrastructure failures, or the illness or injury of our animals. In such cases we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your Experience or provide a refund for affected bookings.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or your participation in an Experience will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the State of Guanajuato, Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings in another forum.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The Terms in effect at the time of your booking apply to that booking. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
